Myth-busting continues: Another myth is that if you have a mental illness it is a sign of a weak mind, this is equal to saying if you have a broken leg it is a result of a weak body. This is not true. Also telling a person with depression to snap out of it is not right, just like there is a process to heal a broken leg there is a process to heal a mental illness.
Here’s another myth we’d like to bust: that only those who don’t have friends should seek therapy, this is not true! Almost everyone — including those with friends — can benefit from counselling as counselling is a structured process.
